Lars Leszczensky is a Professor of Sociology at Goethe University Frankfurt since 2023. He has long been studying friendship and social integration among children and adolescents. Before KidS, he successfully conducted another school-based survey. In his free time, he enjoys reading, listening to music, playing inline hockey, and spending time with his family.

Anastasiia Kuznetsova is a doctoral researcher working on the KidS project. She studied sociology at the University of Mannheim and is interested in social inequality. In her dissertation, she focuses on socioeconomic inequality, the reproduction of socioeconomic status, and the role of friendship in these processes. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends, playing video games, and taking care of her plants and two cats.

Julia Bader is a research associate at KidS and is also writing her doctoral thesis within the framework of the KidS project at Goethe University Frankfurt. She is the main point of contact for all questions related to the survey of secondary schools. Julia studied social psychology and political science, among other places, in Newcastle-under-Lyme and Mannheim. In her dissertation, she investigates the causes and consequences of the end of friendships between children from different social groups. In her free time, she loves spending time in the mountains—whether climbing, hiking with friends, or accompanied by a furry four-legged companion.


Miriam
Feldhausen

Miriam Feldhausen is a doctoral researcher and research associate in the KidS project. She is the main point of contact for all questions related to the primary school surveys within the project. Miriam completed the Master’s program Sociology – Social Research at the University of Cologne. In her dissertation, she explores how the identities of parents and children influence each other. In her free time, Miriam enjoys doing yoga, going for walks, and discovering new places. She also loves spending time with friends and chatting with them.

Wilma Middendorf is an affiliated project member and part of the research group. She studied Psychology of Global Mobility, Inclusion, and Diversity at ISCTE Lisbon and the University of Oslo, and has been a research associate at the University of Osnabrück since 2022. In her dissertation, she investigates how children develop political attitudes and how they can influence their parents and peers. In her free time, she most enjoys being around other people—whether gardening with her flatmates, organizing the next event at the cultural association, or being creative together.
